We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled PHP Web developer to join our young and thriving creative team just outside Manchester city centre. The candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and production of current and future web development projects. Essential skills are:

•    Experience and passion for PHP web development
•    A can-do, problem solving attitude
•    Great team-working ability – you will be working closely with a small team of creatives
•    Excellent communication skills – on occasions you will be client facing
•    A commitment to getting better at what you do
•    Fluent English
•    LAMP server administration
•    Back-end development using PHP and MySQL
•    Front-end hand-coding of valid XHTML, CSS and JavaScript
•    Experience in producing accessible and user-friendly websites

The following skills are also highly desirable:

•    Knowledge of how to develop websites using semantic concepts
•    Search-engine optimisation
•    Knowledge of web accessibility and usability best practices
•    Experience using off-the-shelf website packages – e.g. WordPress
