Pitch Perfect
2nd June 2009
Just as the sun decides to show its face and the dreary, grey skies begin to lift, the talk of unemployment and credit crunching isn’t showing any signs of dissipating. Here at Raw, we’re always looking on the bright side of life and our optimism seems to be paying off. For the second consecutive year we’ve been chosen to deliver design and print management services for NHS Barking and Dagenham. It was a competitive four-way pitch in which we drew upon our considerable public sector and social marketing experience, and our strong, preexisting working relationship with Barking and Dagenham.
Dr Justin Varney, Joint Assistant Director of Health Improvement, says: ‘Good graphic design is a fundamental part of communicating with the public, and for health messages this is no different. We are really pleased to be working once again with Raw Design Studio. The experience of the past two years has been a learning curve for both organisations, but the passion, determination and creativity expressed by Raw has helped us develop new ways of engaging young people and adults, helping them make real changes with real results.’
We are very excited about continuing our work with Barking and Dagenham and delivering more effective health communications to the community, helping them to lead healthier, happier lives.
Managing Director here at Raw, Steven Taylor, says: ‘Winning the new contract is a real boost to us. The team have worked tirelessly to understand the unique requirements of NHS Barking & Dagenham and have built a very strong working relationship across a number levels. Working with the NHS brand continues to be an honour and working with such a forward-thinking, design-savvy client has been refreshing, challenging, stimulating and enjoyable in equal measures.’
